...analysis, Mr. Zucker also writes that "the punting has been atrocious in spots. Steinberg needs to improve his punting to become an offensive threat." It seems Mr. Zucker forgot to check the stats before the game. If he had, he would have noticed that Steinberg was the 2 punter in the league going into Saturday's game. (Incidentally, he is now the 1 punter in the league with a 38.95 average). As far as kicking goes, the stats speak for themselves--four-for-four on field goals, 11-12 PAT's 1 on the team in scoring...

...forgot about it for a year or so because it was not supposed to grow under Reagan's new economics. It got bigger. So I went over to the Treasury one day in 1983. Asked Secretary Donald Regan, Where does one find this Debt monster? He referred me to an assistant secretary, who referred me to another assistant secretary, who was in Japan or someplace. The trail got cold...

...then, of course, there is the all-time dumbest animal nickname: the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University. They used to be called the Horned Toads, but the TCU Administration decided to add a little bit of class and upped the stakes to "Frogs." They forgot to change the school colors, however, and these would-be killer amphibians still suit up in purple, which--and I'm guessing here--isn't really the color of most horned frogs or even horned toads, at least in these here parts...
