Still, human behavior isn't that easy to change. Reilly and Herrgesell point out that reducing your carbon footprint will also cut your utility costs, but that will likely require an up-front payment - in the form of investment in more energy-efficient utilities - and those remain a hard sell to American consumers. Even if you succeed in reducing your personal carbon emissions drastically, you'll likely produce only a few tons' worth of carbon credits - and with carbon credits worth around $7 a ton on the voluntary market, you won't exactly be able to retire on the payoff...

...location without the aid of special effects. It was a virtuoso climax to an all-but-impossible film shoot - a two-year journey into the jungle that found Herzog drained of funds, battling the elements and stuck in the cross fire of a border war. As his personal form of therapy, Herzog meticulously recorded his experiences in his journal; some 300 pages of those musings - thoroughly shocking accounts of a film production brought to the brink - have been converted into the book Conquest of the Useless: Reflections from the Making of Fitzcarraldo. What is the cutting edge right now in firework technology? Fourth of July fireworks are ageless. It's really a misnomer to try and get a "cutting edge." As long as it's a nice show and has a certain continuity to it, people love...
