Class Day Week is to assume the proportions which characterized this celebration before the ascendency of Mars. With the general exodus of undergraduates and the continual drain upon the College's resources by war needs, it has for two years been but the "shealed peascod" of former glory. But already the Class of 1919 is planning memorable festivities for this June...
Thirty-four per cent of the undergraduates of the University are engaged in some form of organized athletics. Statistics compiled by the CRIMSON show that 614 men are taking daily exercise with the various athletic squads. In former years the total of those in athletics ran from 45 to 50 per cent of the undergraduates of the College, but this year's record, however, is considered excellent, when the unsettled condition of undergraduate affairs is taken into consideration...
...which stands fourth in numbers. Baseball is next with 57 battery candidates, but when the infield and outfield men are called out this week its total will rise much higher. Tennis, stands last, claiming only 12 men. There is no regular practice in this sport, but approximately a dozen former University and Freshman players are practising several days a week in the covered court at Chestnut Hill...
