Local canvassers for the Endowment Fund secured pledges enough yesterday to bring the total amount of subscriptions up to within a few thousand dollars of 60 per cent of the desired $15,250,000. Contributions by Boston graduates and friends of the University amounted yesterly to nearly $50,000.

At least three important special exhibitions have been planned by the Fogg Art Museum for the coming season. Of these the most important will be a loan exhibition of English art on somewhat the same lines as those of the French exhibit held at the museum last winter.
