Clarkson pitched splendidly from first to last, showing better form even than in the Brown and Cornell games. He not only struck out fourteen men and gave but one hit, but throughout the game, allowed but one man to reach third base and only two to reach second. R. Kernan caught steadily and made two brilliant catches of foul flies. The infield was hardly tried out to any extent but with the exception of an error by Randall, the few chances that were offered were accepted cleanly and accurately...

Attention is called to the plan by which the degrees of A.B. and S.B. may both be obtained in five years, or even four years. After three years in the College, or after the satisfactory completion of fourteen courses counting towards the degree of A.B., a student may register in the Scientific School. Coburn had fair speed, but showed the poorest control of the three. This weakness together with the poor base-running, practically cost the West Point game. Behind the bat, R. P. Kernan caught very well, and showed vast improvement...

...however, advantageously massed at opportune moments. In this department, Matthews did the best individual work, making four safe hits out of six chances at the bat including a three-base and a two-base hit. The base-running of the men showed great improvement over their work in practice. Fourteen bases were stolen among which may be mentioned a well executed double steal in the sixth inning. Of the pitchers, Coburn, who replaced Stillman during the last four innings, had fair control. He succeeded in striking out three men and allowed but two hits. Stillman, although he had perhaps better...
