...Fourth-seed freshman Kunj Majmudar was unstoppable in his singles draw, yielding no sets to his opponents on his way to the title. Only Virginia Tech's Andrew Krafft provided much of a challenge for Majmudar. In the semi-finals, Majmudar edged Krafft 7-5, 7-6 (7-4).

Heather Sullivan: This freshman's best game was the one she wasn't even supposed to play. Substituting for Crimson fourth-seed Desai in the USSRA championships, Sullivan upset Tiger sixth seed Elizabeth Van Orman.
Pandole has fully recovered from a serious illness which put him in University Health Services with a high fever for three weeks earlier this season. He is now back to being a strong fourth-seed player for the Crimson.
