Such a distinctively cooperative dining society as the Foxcroft Club, to which our attention has been called, has an important place in a college in which so many classes of men are represented as there are at Harvard. It has offered a very desirable economy to many students who have found it necessary to reduce the expenses of their education to a minimum, and to whom therefore Memorial Hall has been practically closed. ...Prospect Union has been quite successful in its attempt to get together a library. By canvassing some of the buildings about three hundred books of all descriptions have been collected, and besides these the Foxcroft Club has generously given its library of two hundred books. It has been found that men have been very ready to give when someone has personally explained just what use the books are to be put to, but it will be impossible to canvass the whole college. It is hoped therefore that men will bring the books they can afford to part with...
