Perhaps screenwriters Frank Cappello, Kevin Brodbin, and Mark Bomback inserted the line to smooth over some of the ugly stitches in this Frankenstein of a religious piece. Other songs are vintage Cinerama—two tracks top six minutes, and Gedge’s voice is adapted to a slick sheen, with trademark frank lyrics, accompanied by soothing, Enya-like vocals.
