At present, airlines check to see whether the passengers sitting in the exit rows understand that they may have to open the door and help other passengers if there is an emergency evacuation. The airlines should also organize, for frequent flyers who volunteer to take them, training courses on how to evacuate a plane. Maybe that would help save some lives.
