...ball fields there are a couple of curious old sign-boards which freshmen are won't to look upon with awe, but still with a certain satisfaction. They refer to ball-playing and some of the other accomplishments of the American youth as practised by those who are not members of Harvard University. If we remember rightly, these same boards contain upon them words of terrible meaning-something about "prosecution to the full extent of the law."
