Although the ground was soft and the wind high the practice was not at all discouraging. During the first part of the afternoon the men batted at the nets where Freshmen pitchers were used for the most parts. The squad was then divided into two parts, Captain Dean coaching one and Rand the other. Two nines were formed from each which took turns batting and fielding, although no regular game was played...
