Spring rowing at Yale has now been in progress for several days and at present 13 squads of candidates for the first boat are working daily, the largest number in years. Of the freshmen there are 11 squads working on the machines. Rowing in the tank has been superseded altogether by practice on the machines, and the university squad is expected to be on the water very soon. The team-play of St. Paul's was superior to that of the Freshmen, whose two goals were scored by brilliant individual playing.
