Since active work has ceased on the part of the collectors for the New Gymnasium Fund, about $500 has been received from the entire undergraduate body, making a total of about $10,500. But only about 52 per cent of the college has subscribed, and collectors have again been appointed to canvass the rest of the college. Dean Briggs is at present getting in touch with graduates who are interested in the work, and it is probable that an alumni committee will be formed, which will collect enough from graduates of the University to complete the fund.
