...showing made by the collectors for the Gymnasium Fund from the class of 1914 was better today, but the class is still at the bottom of the list. There is no reason in the world for this, and, although the collectors are somewhat to blame, the members of the class have not shown the right spirit. This explains to a great measure our poor showing. 1914 GYMNASIUM COMMITTEE...

...contributions for the new gymnasium fund for the second day show a total of about $2,000, making a little over $6000 for the whole collection. The Sophomore class responded well to the exhortation of their class committee, and managed to get third place, the Juniors falling to last. The Freshman class is still well in the lead with a total of $2147, although only 25 per cent of the class have contributed. If the rest of the members keep up this average, 1916 ought to be able to stay in the lead. As only 2 per cent...

The Sophomore class has more members than any other class in College, and on an average contribution of $15 or $20 apiece, should rank first. Here is an opportunity for every man to show both his class and his College spirit by giving as much as he possibly can. We hope the next announcement of how the classes stand will show that more Sophomores have appreciated this opportunity...

...present time, those members of the class of 1913 who have sent in their pledges to the fund have responded most generously; $5,718.00 has already been pledged. As this is from only a trifle over one-quarter of the class, it would seem as though we should have a gratifyingly large class fund, provided the remainder give as willingly. The class of 1912 raised only $15,190.00; yet this was much larger than the fund which 1911 promised...
