...Furious settlers later released a statement condemning the Israeli security forces. "We hope they will be defeated by their enemies, that they will all be [kidnapped IDF soldier] Gilad Shalit, that they will all be killed and all slaughtered because this is what they deserve," it read. Settler wrath was also aimed at Washington. Commenting on the arrival of the U.S.-sponsored Palestinian security forces in Hebron, settler leader Baruch Marzel told TIME: "It's like asking Bin Laden's men to come protect Manhattan." When “The Sopranos” ended with its infamous black screen in June of last year, many of the show’s dedicated fans were furious. People had fallen in love with emotionally complicated crime boss Tony Soprano and had tuned in episode after episode, only to have the show come to an unceremonious end less than an hour after Tony’s intricate web of conflict had finally unraveled. Was he on Maryland's list, now an undesirable alien and permanently excluded from the United States? Probably not, but in this era of secret evidence, who knows...
...fluid runner and convincing halfback. The on-field action becomes increasingly well-choreographed and edited as the film progresses, as if Fleder himself was in the process of learning how to stage and film a football play. The early sequences of Davis on-field are cut at a furious and ultimately disorienting pace, with the camera so close to the action as to obscure individuals. Thankfully, Fleder slows down a bit and zooms out during the climactic on-field sequences later in the film. Football fans will be pleased as well with the accuracy of the football terminology...
