Wall Street had a rough day Thursday, as most of the major indices fell amid uncertainty over a possible third federal shutdown. The Dow Jones industrial average lost much of yesterday's gain, falling 26.01 points to close at 5,216.83. The New York Stock Exchange composite index also fell 1.17 to close at 330.55. On the Big Board, decliners led advancers 1,272 to 1,033, with 776 unchanged. Volume was heavy, with 445.35 shares traded.
