...Yale 1915 crew won from the Harvard 1916 eight in the Basin on Saturday afternoon by almost three lengths. At the start the Sophomores gained a lead of one half a length, but were able to hold it for only a short while. When the Harvard Bridge was reached, the two boats were about even, but Yale soon started to gain steadily until there was over a length of open water between the shells.
