The feature of the evening, however, was the singing of Miss Aagot Lunde, a mezzo-soprano of remarkably sympathetic voice. In her selections from Grieg, she showed great power of adaptation--first, in "The Autumn Gale," full of action, but with the dreariness of the Norwegian minor; then in Eet Syn, a short, vivacious snatch of song; and finally in Solweig's Cradle Song, deeper in quality with a peculiar languishing movement...
