When the second half began Harvard worked the ball up to Princeton's twenty-five yard line where Trafford tried for a goal from the field. Princeton took the play and brought the game to the middle of the field. Ames and Trafford kicked back and forth, and Channing and Cowan advanced the ball by short rushes through Harvard's line. Ames ran fifteen yards around the end and the game was brought to Harvard's twenty-five yard line.
