The Holy Cross team is by no means a very strong one, and thus the Harvard players are to be congratulated rather for their exhibition of good snappy ball than for their victory...
This should augur well for the game today, and the result is awaited with special interest. A victory over Brown will mean that the nine is indeed looking up, for the Brown nine won one game in their series with Princeton and scored a decisive victory over Yale. Thus a good showing this afternoon will mean that there is as yet no cause for discouragement over the final outcome of the season...
...entire university was disappointed in the result of Saturday's game in spite of the plucky exhibition in the eighth inning. There is, however, a general confidence that the other big games will have a very different result from that of the first Princeton game. The team went to pieces on Saturday in a manner which is unaccountable, unless it is to be ascribed to Fearey's failure in the box.
