Newhall, at quarterback on the University team, used the forward, pass more frequently and more successfully than for some days. The onside kick was also tried a number of times by him and by Wendell, and the tendency of the backs was to play a very open game. Several new plays were tried out, the most successful being a quarterback run by Newhall on which he made some good gains.
