Ithaca, N. Y., May 10, 1909.--The University lacrosse team was defeated this afternoon by Cornell by the score of 8 to 2. The game was played in the rain on a muddy field which greatly handicapped the players. Walbridge of Cornell scored the first goal after six minutes of play.
