...Hamas wants the cease-fire to endure because it is consolidating the movement's authority over Gaza's 1.5 million Palestinians, and because it wants to beef up its fighting corps to over 50,000 strong. Gaza experts say that Hamas has taken a page from Hizballah's playbook during the 2006 Lebanon war with Israel, and that Gaza is now riddled with tunnels and underground bunkers.
