Rain prevented the game scheduled with the Philadelphia National League team on April 12. On the 13th Princeton lost to the Boston team at Washington by a score of 13 to 5. On the 14th Princeton defeated Georgetown, 6 to 3, in a ten-inning game. The game was a pitchers' battle between Hillebrand and White, both of whom were very effective until the latter weakened in the tenth inning. ...University nine played but one scheduled game on its Southern trip, as the date with Georgetown University was cancelled on account of rain. All the men returned last night in good condition and but for the unfavorable weather the trip would have been a success in every way.
