...endurance is more of a factor than in the shorter distance. Last year Harvard had six out of the eight starters in the final 220-yards dash, and, with the chances as they are, can well afford to put some of these into the hurdle race. The men can get practice for the short distance race while training for the longer one. Thus entries can be made in both events, with high hopes in the one, without discouragement in the other.
