...DIED. Ghulam Ishaq Khan, 91, strong-willed President of Pakistan who dismissed two democratically elected governments; in Peshawar. Khan, who served as Finance Minister and chairman of the Senate, replaced General Mohammed Zia ul-Haq as President after Zia's death in a plane crash in 1988. In 1990 he removed Pakistan's first female Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, and in 1993 dispatched her successor, Nawaz Sharif, over allegations of corruption and mismanagement.
