Beyond the oft-stated academic arguments for divestment, the student coalition will offer emotional statements why they believe in this cause. This highly visible protest will be provocative without being overly confrontational. It is also a much more effective way of getting Harvard to divest than Senior Gift Plus because this protest does not negatively affect uninvolved third parties, namely Harvard’s financial aid program. We congratulate the many student groups which have put aside their differences to stage this protest...
