Huguley showed up well in the role of interferer, as did Potter. In fact, the interference by both forwards and backs was superior to any seen in the Stadium at such an early stage. The way for Gilligan's fifty-yard romp to the initial score was opened by good blocking and clearing...

Nine lettermen appear on the starting University lineup, Gilligan and Levin being the two who have not as yet won the major award. Captain Barrett, Trainer, B. H. Ticknor, Douglas, Putnam, and Harper all answered the opening whistle last fall, while Gilligan, O'Connell, W. D. Ticknor, and Huguley saw action before the end of the afternoon.
