...Harvard administration has a long and glorious history of ignoring the concerns of Harvard's students. In a country whose citizens have always been taught to think, question and be active, it is shameful that an educational institution so consistently, continually and blatantly ignores the thoughts, questions and actions of its students. There are countless examples of the underdogs winning out over fat cats who were overconfident and lazy, who just didn't work as hard. Take the case of Buster Douglas, Jr., who beat a seemingly indomitable but actually flabby and pariah-surrounded Mike Tyson one glorious night in Japan five years ago. ...whole, the acting is fine, if it is a bit overdone. Stokers, Berne, Polen and Epstein do a good job in portraying the Gold clan in its glorious maelstrom of neurosis and fierce love for one another. The sets in which the characters sit, argue and agonize are marvelous. A salute should most definitely go to set designer Matthew Lavesque for the just-right yuppie Manhattan apartment, complete with a colorful DNA molecule model perched neatly on the television set--cheap symbolism, but it looks good...
