...order to avoid the coated, glossy papers which disturb the eyes but which are well adapted to half-tone reproduction, FORTUNE'S photographs are reproduced by the "Intaglio" process-the reverse of ordinary half-tone printing-which works well with heavy, glossless papers. The type used is a reproduction by the English Monotype Co. of the letters designed by the 18th Century craftsman Baskerville.
