General Motors out prices and wages yesterday as the government announced that the U.S. cost of living in mid-January was 0.4 percent less than mid-December and 2.3 percent less than a year ago. Wages for 362,000 GM workers, which are tied directly to the Federal Price Index, were reduced two cents an hour: In Detroit, GM announced price cuts ranging from $10 to $40 on all its cars and trucks, effective immediately...
