Preparatory to the line-up of the two elevens yesterday the backs devoted a great deal of time to goal kicking. The two elevens then lined up for a few minutes of sharp, hard work. Perkins and Bull, of last year's 'Varsity crew, came out for the first time, playing right and left half on the second squad respectively. Perkins tackled strongly, but was injured so early in the game that no opportunity was given of judging of his possibilities as a back.
