Burnett kicked off to Hare who was promptly tackled by Hallowell. The guards-back plays failed to gain and Campbell secured the ball on an attempt at a fake kick. Daly gained 30 yards by returning Hare's kick-off in the next half. Coombs punted short to Campbell, and then a steady attack on the guards soon resulted in a touchdown by Ellis.
