Amherst won the toss and took the west goal with a strong wind in her favor. Harvard's heavy rush line was too much for the lighter Amherst team and in a short time Nichols made a touchdown from which Saxe kicked a goal. The ball was then brought into the middle of the field and in about eight minutes Wood made the second touchdown, resulting in a goal. Benden runs and the Williams team improve in their playing. They had been playing a little loosely but now seemed determined to stop Harvard scoring. Nothing effectual was accomplished for several minutes, but Porter got the ball from a long pass out by Harding and secured another touchdown. Goal. Score 32-0.
