Y., Cyril Walker, National Open Champion, and Joe Kirkwood, famed Australian freak-shot maker, gave golfdom cause for mild astonishment by failing to qualify for the Professional Golf Association Championship Tournament to be held at French Lick, Ind., Sept. 14 to 20.
