After the good work done by the nine earlier in the season, after having defeated Princeton on her own grounds, we were not prepared for such a wretched showing as that made by Harvard yesterday afternoon. The nine, by its hard work, its evident ability to play an up-hill game, had raised the hopes of the college, and although we knew that the fight for the championship would be close, yet we hoped that the nine on its own grounds at least would keep up its reputation and win a leading place for Harvard.
