Yesterday afternoon the Freshman Nine defeated Somerville High School in an interesting game by the score of ten to five. The game was very loosely played on both sides, and the batting was only fair. Mains pitched a good game for Ninety-nine till in the eighth inning he wrenched his knee and had to stop playing. The fielding of the Freshmen was decidedly poor, and has not improved at all lately. Davis especially did not play nearly the game he is capable of, and, though an injured finger is some excuse, his throwing is apt to be very wild...
