The question resolves itself into this: whether we wish to go to Soldiers Field on Saturday, to see an exhibition of manly sport, or to attend a musical festival. If the visitors from New Haven deem it a good opportunity to display their vocal talent, is that necessarily a reason why we should do likewise? Let us rather wait until the end of the game, and then, if the result has justified it, let us break forth into fitting paeans of victory...

...interclub boat race yesterday was won by a scant length by the first Weld crew in 9 minutes and 44 seconds, fairly good time considering that the wind blew across the course, kicking up a choppy sea which bothered the star-board men considerably. The first Newell crew, which was second at the finish, was a length and three-quarters ahead of the second Weld, which in turn led the second Newell by a quarter of a length of open water. The start was not made until one o'clock owing to the difficulty of securing a coxswain...
...completed for a debate, with a decision, between the Senior Wranglers and the Young Men's Congress of the Boston Y. M. C. A. to take place in about three weeks. The Congress has over a hundred members and contains quite able speakers, so the debate should be a good contest...
...Glee Club for some unknown reason seemed indisposed to start things going by leading. The band has worked hard at all the important games, and it seems to many of us only fitting that the Glee Club should do its share of the work. The songs are good ones, but will be absolutely useless because no one has learned to sing them, and this might easily have been done yesterday. I would suggest that the CRIMSON reprint the songs as a supplement to Saturday's issue and urge every man to take a copy with him to the game...
