...Harvard presented for consideration a great football eleven, a team which was perfect to the last detail. To borrow from the baseball vernacular, she had everything--rushing, forward-passing, good tackling, keen following of the ball, ability to hold the pigskin, mechanical precision, general football sense, and excellent punting. Haughton says it is the best Harvard eleven he ever coached. ...reliable second-string man to take his place in case of injury, and it does not look as though 1919 would produce anyone suitable for the position as a regular. Ames 1917 and Blake 1918 were the two best substitutes this season, but neither showed himself capable of consistently good judgment in tight places. Besides many generous donations to the University, among which are Soldiers Field and the Harvard Union, he has always taken a very active interest in college affairs. Major Higginson is one of those men who are universally admired, and who furnish ideals to all who know them...

...Cornell team's last two games have resulted in a defeat and a scoreless tie, and the University team has still to prove its ability as a scoring machine. The chief difficulty so far seems to lie in the poor shooting of the forwards. The defense has been uniformly good and the team works together fairly well but when the time to score comes, almost invariably the chance is lost through inaccurate shooting. The game with Princeton which has to be played over, is scheduled for Saturday...
