He is cast as an old-time burlesque comic and a man who knows the pleasures of rye whiskey. When he also turns out to be pretty much of a goon around the ladies, he loses his wife. Penitent and thirsty, Mr. Dailey proceeds to booze himself right smack into Bellvue. This kind of involved business takes a lot of heavy weepy acting to pull off and Dan Dailey simply can't do if. The result is embarrassing, both to Mr. Dailey...
