Here you find Paquin lending a tough intelligence to Alison's confusions; and Lane so all-American gorgeous she needn't act to be the center of every shot. She does act, though, and nicely. She locates Pearl's yearning in vagrant sighs and in sidelong glances at the big world exploding, outside her small one, into sex, drugs and eternal adolescence...
What's up with the weather? The week that Harvard students actually leave for spring break, the weather starts becoming nice. Sorry, not nice--gorgeous. But Dartboard's not complaining, because the weather that has enveloped usually dismal Cambridge has been hanging around for the last couple of weeks. And from throwing around the ol' pigskin to getting that envious tan to even doing homework, Harvard students are finding that outside is the place...
...SYNC isn't just about sex and pretty faces, though. These for the most part young'uns (their ages are 18, 19, 20, 22 and 27) have actual talent. Their roots in a cappella were revealed by the dreadlocked Chris as the group launched into a harmonically gorgeous "I Drive Myself Crazy." Other ballads like "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You," which the band dedicated to a lucky few girls who were given seats onstage, also showcased the band's vocal skills...
