Immediately after the kickoff, the first team secured the ball on downs at the 30 yard line. Shea gained 5 yards, Kernan made the same distance around the end, Knowlton an Graydon advanced 8 yards in three plays, the former went through right guard for 5 yards and again for 6 yards, and from the 1 yard line Graydon made the only touchdown of the afternoon.
