Brain Batteries. It has been shown time & again that the cerebral cortex- the part of the brain which can be educated-generates minute electrical currents at some 10-50 microvolts which can be measured with tiny electrodes, amplifiers, potentiometers. Dr. Joannes Gregorius Dusser de Barenne and Warren S. McCulloch of Yale coagulated the cortical tissue in anesthetized monkeys by a few seconds' application of temperatures of 150-175° F.
