...gridiron season which virtually draws to a close today, finds four undefeated eastern teams still in the field: Yale, which meets the University today, Lafayette, which opposes Lehigh this afternoon, and Cornell and Penn State, which face the University of Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh respectively on Thanksgiving Day. Of these teams, Cornell leads in scoring, having registered 351 points to her opponents' 21. Centre, alone of the western and southern colleges which have invaded the East, remains undefeated. ...spending the small hours of the night "bickering about realism", football at New Haven can not be considered of such vital importance as in the days of old. After the band stopped playing, the Yale stands gave a regular cheer which was returned a minute later by the Harvard...
...singing of "Harvardiana" by the Crimson cheering section, accompanied by the band. The Elis reciprocated with "Bull Dog". The field is in better condition than was expected to be the case. The wind has dried it off to a great extent and, although a bit heavy, the gridiron does not appear to be as muddy and slippery as last Saturday in the Brown game. At 1.45 Captain Aldrich led the first Yale eleven on to the field, the rest of the squad following behind. Cheers from the Harvard and Yale stands greeted the Eli squad...
