Harvard opened up fast and after several minutes of play Garrison was sent to the penalty box. Then with only five men on the ice the Crimson drew first blood when Wood, taking the puck on a rebound after a shot by Lakin, sent it past Grodberg. After the second forward line had replaced the starting trio Harvard scored again, this time on a nice bit of teamwork.
