He was a very promising candidate for tackle on the freshman eleven until he received an injury which prevented his playing. ...Moors was born in Groton, Mass., Dec. 10, 1819. He was a farmer's son, and was educated in the public schools and seminary. He entered Harvard in 1838 and graduated in 1842. He graduated from the Divinity School, Cambridge, in 1845; was ordained and made pastor of the Unitarian Church, Deerfield, Jan. 28, 1846 and dismissed in April, 1861; was installed pastor of the Unitarian Society of Greenfield, April 22, 1861.
