...seems that they are all miffed about the process used to select students to the advisory committee of the new Ann Radcliffe Trust. The Trust is intended to distribute funds to student groups and generally promote attention to women's issues on campus. It assumes its official responsibilities on July 1, 2000. The advisory committee is a small group, picked by Assistant Dean of the College Karen G. Avery '87, that, in the coming months, will help determine how the Trust will operate. ...Miramax made the brilliantly subversive decision to release Scream on Dec. 12. While analysts proclaimed the move "ignorant," good ol' Harvey Weinstein knew exactly what he was doing. Good cheer at Christmas masks the craving for blood, guts and sex-anything, anything to get us away from the umpteenth group singing of "Silent Night." Scream rocked the box office and Scream 2 opened in the same slot the next year to $39 million. Should have been a trend-o-rama, right? Nope. We're back to "Good for You" fare. Just look at this year's slate...

...only assume that you did not see the performance. Those boys were in tune, and they made those outfits work! Did you notice that there were almost 200 Harvard students watching this performance, and laughing hysterically? I don't know when the last time you saw that large a group of students laughing together was, but it doesn't happen often enough...

...Deborah Wojcik's paintings of small boys are set apart from the other pieces by their neatly stylized, almost commercial execution; they are a smart treatment of issues of self-presentation that are usually seen only in the feminine inflection.
