...bird, however, FBI agents fitted it with an eavesdropping bug and a small radio transmitter that constantly signaled its whereabouts. Sepe's next mistake was to boast about the Lufthansa caper to passengers in his car -taped conversations that the FBI found most interesting, especially those with Peter Gruenewald, who worked as a Lufthansa cargo agent...
...Gruenewald apparently is blessed, or cursed, with a sympathetic ear. Authorities believe he was also told by Louis Werner, 46, a longtime fellow Lufthansa employee, how Werner had helped set up the robbery. Done in the way the Loeb has seen fit to do it, Ah, Wilderness is no better as a comedy than Father Knows Best, a vehicle this production unfortunately resembles...
Every work of Gruenewald is finely reproduced in the series of plates included in this volume. There is also a catalog of Gruenewald's works, with a bibliography of articles and books on him that have been published since 1914. The author might have made this more useful by suggesting which of the manifold German studies would be most worth the time of readers who wish to continue their acquaintance with Gruenewald...
