Richard M. Gummere, chairman of the Board of Admissions, was voted a member of the Administrative Board of Harvard College in the last meeting of officers, it was announced, Saturday.
Gummere, long-familiar as the College representative to the prospective undergraduate, has been appointed for the half year beginning January 1, 1943. He takes the place of Alfred M. Tozzer '00, professor of Anthropology and Librarian of the Peabody Museum, who is now on leave.
In addition to Gummere, the only College officer to be added to the Board, two members of the staff of the Medical School and two from the School of Public Health were voted for terms of office lasting from February 1 to July 1, 1943.
