Originally a play, and once before produced as a movie,* the new version of the story resembles a photographed stage show. Embraceable You (Warner) is dispensable entertainment. Dane Clark, chauffeuring a gunman away from a killing, hits & runs from a pedestrian (Geraldine Brooks). Geraldine is almost as thorough a guttersnipe as Dane is. But according to this story, there's a lot of good in even the worst people.
